After over a decade producing content in Jamaica, Tanya set her sights on sharing her Afro-Indian British American Black female gaze with a more global audience.
She moved to NY in 2016 and then LA in 2022 when she landed the showrunner and director role for a new competition reality series for FUSE TV.
Tanya infused the series in front of and behind the camera with her inclusive lens.
Continuing to explore her craft and give visuals to her voice, in 2019 Tanya wrote, directed and produced her first independent narrative short, WINSTON. Described as "riveting" and "intense", the LGBTQ themed short has garnered a nomination for best screenplay and 2 best actor awards for the titular character.

Winston premiered in Jamaica in August 2022 as a part of the National Gallery of Jamaica's 60th anniversary celebrations.
Tanya is developing the LGBTQ themed docu-fiction feature Jamaican Pride. She is also working on bringing the Jamaican culture to a larger audience in the hybrid comedy sketch series, How to be Jamaican?
Happiest when on set surrounded by a diverse crew coming together to manifest one creative vision, she remains devoted to crafting culturally infused content.
